When is Data on the Platform Updated?

When is data on the Platform updated?

Our platform displays a mix of intraday and end-of-day (EOD) data. Understanding when each type of data updates will help you interpret the charts, indicators, and other signals.

Intraday Data

  • Stock prices on the platform are 15-minute delayed.

  • At market open, this delay can occasionally be slightly longer.

  • When markets are open, an icon at the bottom of the chart shows the time the intraday price is based on.

End of Day (EOD) Data

  • OVI is based on EOD data only and does not update during the trading day.

  • Any feature that relies on OVI data — including TradeFinders, Stock Profile, Big Money Bias & Indicators, Pattern Recognition, Market Timers, and the OVI Dashboard — also updates EOD only.

  • Provided the data comes through to us on time, the EOD data run starts around 7pm EST / midnight UK and can take up to 3 hours to complete, often finishing sooner.

Summary

If a feature is OVI-based, it will always reflect data from the previous market day, not live or intraday activity. Intraday prices are the only data updated during market hours, and even these have a slight delay.
