TradeFinder User Guide

TradeFinder User Guide

The TradeFinder application can be used to filter for stocks and options in the context of the WiseTraders method. The key is finding the neatest flags and consolidations, supported by the OVI, and the Big Money Footprints.

Our most successful traders use a combination of discretion and the software to trade.

Enrolling only for our OVI Markets Daily program will not grant you access to the TradeFinders. You will need an active subscription to any of our other Stock or OptionEasy programs to gain access to the TradeFinders.

Finding good setups using OVI Fast Filters

The OVI Fast Filters is a great starting point for users who are new to the TradeFinders.

You can quickly go through the list of Fast Filters in the following ways:

  • Search: Type in the name of a fast filter or a specific trade criteria that you’re looking for

  • Tags: Filter the list based on direction, earnings or big money footprints

The OVI Fast Filters are created with a loose set of filters and may produce a large number of results based on current market conditions.

To reduce the number of results generated by the Fast Filters, simply add more filters to the existing filter set and vice versa.

Once you’re familiar with the TradeFinder, you can tailor the tool to your own trading preference by creating your own personal filter sets. This will enable you to focus on your preferred trade setups and strategies.

TradeFinder Update Time

Because the OVI is reliant on options market data, which is not available until after the markets are closed at about 7pm Eastern US, midnight UK, literally billions of lines of code are run to refresh the OVI data and prepare the charts and OVI for the following market session.

This can take up to 3 hours to complete, although often sooner.
