Should a gap be considered the same as a long thrust?
Given the choice between a thrusting bar and a gap, you would prefer thrusting bars since they represent price action during trading hours, and reflect that the stock price actually did travel through the prices within the bar.
Gaps also sometimes return to close the gap, so a gap in your favour on an existing position needs to be managed well.
A gap or thrusting bar may typically be accompanied by a volume surge, especially at Earnings, so either may qualify as Big Money Footprints.
