Do you advocate the use of guaranteed stops for the more liquid (hence 'more volatile'?) stocks? How does IG Index operate its 'stops'?

More liquid does not mean more volatile. In many cases, just the opposite as it means a price will almost always be found without too much gapping intraday.

Guaranteed stops are good provided you're ok with paying the extra spread.

"Stop placement" with the brokers/spread betters is something of a moving target, but with IG, we think it's 10% minimum stops with a guaranteed.

It's always best to ask the broker themselves when it comes to their rules and platforms.
